A delightful spicy aroma

North Candles has done a wonderful job creating products that keep customers coming back. The Chai Tea aroma candle is incredibly relaxing and highly recommended for anyone who loves Chai tea and wants to fill their home with its warm, spicy scent. I actually burn the Deep Forest candle and the Chai Tea candle at the same time, and the result is a beautiful “spicy forest” aroma — it’s absolutely delightful. If you’re looking to add a cozy, spicy accent to your room, you definitely need to try this candle!

What a comforting aroma!

So interesting…
This candle is in the ‘Clean’ set which I bought recently, and I opened it first because a) I was curious, and b) I didn’t think I’d like it that much. I have had no connection with baby powder for well over half a century :D and no fondness or sentimental yearning for it.

And yet, as soon as I opened it I though, Ooh, I’m going to like this. And I do. It burns well (as all these candles do) and the fragrance warms and spreads quickly. It smells relaxing and comforting. I would definitely buy this again. Well done!

So nice!

Palo Santo in its wood form is so tricky - first to be sure you have bought legitimate Palo Santo, secondly you have to keep relighting it because it is more of a smudge stick, only burns for a few seconds.
This candle gives you Palo Santo without having t wave your hands around furiously trying to get the sweet woody fragrance to spread. I recommend it.

A measured level of patchouli, very nice!

Patchouli can be hit or miss, and this hits right. I like it!

Another one I wasn't expecting to like much...

...but I do. It is subtle, and not - well, years ago I bought 'bamboo' incense - expensive stuff too - and it smelled kind of icky. Nothing like this. This is really lovely and fresh yet soothing. I shall buy again.

Subtle and warm.

Like a quality incense without the smoke and powder. I can't pinpoint a specific type of incense, but it's a good one, not at all overpowering like cheaper incenses are, it smells really nice. I recommend it.

...but I really do - it smells like what it says on the tin - a fresh, juicy, sweet pineapple. SO nice!

This candle has a subtle, clean, fresh scent, ideal for, well, any room really! I like it for the living room, but it's nice in the bedroom too, when I am feeling stuffy. Recommended.

One of my favourites.

I love the smell of yuzu in any form, but since this candle will outlive a fresh yuzu, it is a must-have. Fresh and clean and sweet and tangy. I recommend it.

About North Candles

Mami and Alex, a couple from Canada and Hokkaido, started North Candles in Tokyo, Japan and now currently reside and make all of our candles in Hokkaido, Japan. They met while volunteering on an organic vegetable farm in BC, Canada in 2016, and after traveling and living in both Japan and Canada, they decided to start their own candle business in 2018. At North Candles, we believe in creating handmade candles that are not only a wonderful scent, but also environmentally friendly and natural. Our candles are made with completely 100% soy wax, all handmade in Hokkaido. Our candles are great for creating a fun & relaxing relaxing ambiance for any occasion. Shipping Information & Returns

* Order Processing: Orders are usually shipped within 1-3 business days. Sometimes this will be delayed due to exceptional circumstances. * Shipping Time: Shipping generally takes 2-4 business days after dispatch, so most customers receive their orders within 3-7 business days. However, in rare cases, it may take longer due to exceptional circumstances. * Shipping Costs: Domestic shipping is ¥690 with Sagawa (including a tracking number). We also offer some cheaper options for certain regions, such as Hokkaido. For some regions like Okinawa and Hokkaido, we may use Japan Post services instead. Most shipping options include a tracking number. * International Shipping: International shipping is available. For more details, please contact us by email at mami@northcandles.jp or through the chat function on our website. * Free Shipping: Free shipping is available on all orders over ¥10,000 within Japan. * Tealight Sample: All orders include a tealight sample candle of a different candle scent, so you can enjoy another fragrance. * Return & Cancellation Policy: Since our candles are handmade, please consider this before making your purchase. We kindly ask that you refrain from canceling your order once the purchase is complete. For returns due to personal reasons, the customer is responsible for the return shipping cost. However, if the item is damaged or incorrect, we will cover the return shipping costs. Please note that all returned candles must be unused and in their original condition.

Instructions for Use & Scent Information

1. First Burn: Burn your candle for 1-2 hours on the first use to ensure the wax melts all the way to the edge of the jar. This helps prevent "tunneling" and allows for an even burn. 2. Recommended Lighter: To safely light your candle all the way down to the bottom, we recommend using a long-tipped lighter, such as a barbecue-style lighter. 3. Small Flame Fix: If the flame becomes small, extinguish the candle, remove any excess wax, and wait for the wax to harden before relighting. Be careful, as the wax and container will be hot. 4. Safety: Always burn your candle on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface. Keep it away from flammable objects and never leave it unattended. Ensure the candle is out of reach of pets and children. 5. Burning Time: Do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at one time to avoid overheating the container. Scent Information: Our essential oil candles are made with 100% plant derived essential oils that we use to make our own original essential oil blends for the scents in the candles. We also have synthetic fragrances in a variety of scents. In general the essential oil candles are a softer, more natural type of scent. Our fragrance oil candles are generally stronger scents and more exotic smelling. If you are sensitive to scents we recommend considering our essential oil candles! Small candles tend to create a smaller wax pool and have a more subtle scent. They are perfect for small spaces or those who prefer a lighter fragrance. Larger candles create a wider wax pool when burning, which allows more fragrance to be released into the air. We recommend larger candles for customers who enjoy stronger, more noticeable scents or are using them in larger spaces and are also looking for the additional value of the added burn time.
